The winter solstice has always been special to me as a barren darkness that gives birth to a verdant future beyond imagination, a time of pain and withdrawal that produces something joyfully inconceivable, like a monarch butterfly masterfully extracting itself from the confines of its cocoon, bursting forth into unexpected glory.

A cold image … brrrr … but fitting for the winter solstice … but we didn’t get the snow this year! 🙂 … Cheers to your love for the solstice.
Happy New Year, V!!!
Thanks, Frank, and Happy, Healthy, Joy-filled and Peaceful New Year to You!! xo
Hope all is going well with you. I’m imagining ups and downs, so be strong.
Awe, Thanks so much, Frank. You’re the best! All is truly well, no reasons to complain about anything, really. A much narrower chasm between swings. 😀 Hope all is marvelous in your world. Bought a new PC, so work isn’t as excruciatingly slow, anymore. Just the learning curve and my extreme limitation of appreciation for everything Windows. 😀
Good to now that swings are over a narrower chasm. (BTW, a great analogy)
Thanks, I try…. to keep stuff in various points of shifting perceptions. 🙂
That a way … but I imagine you are jumpy when someone knocks on the door, thus you wonder if it’s me wearing boot. 🙂 … I couldn’t resist. … and I don’t think I’ve ever worn boots,
haha! You should try ’em, especially if you’re heading South! Ah, resistance…. is futile. Besides, it’s no fun, and like Mae West, I can resist anything but temptation.
Touche! … A toast to your wit and sense of humor!
… and cheers to the new PC!
